Human Resources Infrastructure and Work Environment, as defend by the ISO 9001:2000 certification requirements. The Provision of Resources includes implementation and improvement of the quality management system and complete customer satisfaction.

The Provision of Human Resources includes an overall management of employees including training, awareness and competency, safety and the general well-being of all employees.

The Provision of Infrastructure ensures that the facility of Pak Steel adheres to levels of the ISO 9001:2000 certification standards as well as general safety requirements. Also included are process equipment (hardware and software), and support services (communication and transport) the provision of a healthy Work Environment ensure a safe and productive atmosphere for all employees.

LABORATORY

WITH THE INCREASED GLOBAL RELIANCE ON LABORATORIES PAK STEEL HAS ESTABLISHED THE MOST MODERN QUALITY CONTROL (QC) LAB TO MAINTAIN THE HIGHEST QUALITY PRECISION STANDARDS.

We at PAKSTEEL, strictly adhere to the ASTM and BSI international standards. Our QC section samples each lot/batch and inspects the quality at various levels of production. This department then performs tests using specified accepted department then performs tests using specified accepted testing methods, these are routinely conducted within the premises to facilitate the customer and improve/monitor product quality regularly.

The perfection of our work has captured the sharp eyes of descending clients in the public and private sectors, including some of the top multinational construction firms. To produce high quality steel according to the required specification, we at PAKSTEEL are equipped with both chemical and physical laboratories at our factories.

HISTORY

MILESTONES

1949
A new mill installation was started in the underdeveloped and weak steel re-rolling industry of Rawalpindi. Pakistan "M. Farid Muhammad Hussain Steel Re-Rolling Mills"
1979
"M. Farid Muhammad & Sons" mill operation was inaugrated and 1/2 (No. 4) Round (Plain) Steel Bars were produced.
1983
Tee-Iron (structural steel) was produced for the first time in this area.
1988
"PAK STEEL Re-Rolling Mills" inauguration and commercial production commencement.
1989
Acquired 100.00% ownership in the melting furnance unit and modernization initiated.
1994
New rolling (Mill # 3) with a capacity of 150 tons per day was established in Hattar Industrial Area, NWFP.
1996
Loading cranes were introduced by PAK STEEL in the local market
1999
Introduced Angular Iron for the first time in local market.
2001
Dia 42 mm Plain Steel Bar Shafts were produced.
2004
PAK STEEL successfully converted to ISO 9001:2000 version on 1st attempt/attempt/audit.
2005
PAK STEEL introduces (Steel Girder structural steel) for the first time in local market.
2008
Acquired 5 tons capacity furnace unit in the Gujranwala Industrial Estate.
2012
New increased capacity induction furnce of capacity 15 tons starts operation with CC technology.
